 Fondation maeght

In places Sert’s building seems to take inspiration from his friend Miro’s animal forms. The huge white inverted arched roof resembles the horns of a bull, perhaps reflecting their shared Catalan origins. These zoomorphic forms give the foundation Maeght a primitivist feel, which although roots the architecture in a particular moment in time, is still powerful and impressive today.
